Working in abstraction is more powerful to me than the use of language or persuasion of any kind, and my paintings tend to be about where one could possibly go when not restrained or bounded.
I was born and raised in Connecticut, received my BA from Carleton College, my MA from Simmons College,
and over the past 20 years have independently studied
photography, drawing, and design.
I started to paint abstractions and to show my work in Seattle after moving to that city in 2001. Group and solo shows followed, as well as exclusive representation in Seattle by Oasis Art Gallery until early 2009. I now live and paint in Philadelphia, PA.
